Five years ago, I was living in the fixer-upper from hell with my three babies… No water and 40° in the bathroom in the middle of December… No heat. Third World conditions and I was pretty stuck for about six monthsIt was a mistake agreeing to remodel the house while living there… It was totally unlivable and I didn’t know thatBut I worked my butt off to make it work And in the middle of all of that, I was also working my butt off to build up my company and save money… all while caring for three babies all day every day.Finally, I saved enough and bought a small Homestead for the kids to be able to grow up with animals and nature…. Where we’ve been the last few years.And life’s been pretty good. My recovery business was doing well…. Hard work, but we never went without.But I’ll never forget opening Christmas presents with my babies below refrigerator temperaturesOr not having water for over a month ( it was a construction issue mostly… but I was stuck there)I don’t see those experiences with a victim mindsetIt’s just life and I worked through it. I’m so grateful for every experience I’ve gone throughThe good the bad and the ugly… That’s what life is aboutSometimes it hits you hardCrap happensBut you keep on keeping on 🙂 And keep your chin up and keep working hardI spent a few hours crying today… 😅 Just overwhelmed and grateful… Even though I’ve always had enough, and my business was doing well… This is the first time in seven years where I finally feel safe. Like I can breathe because if I get sick for a day, it’s not the end of the world… I’ll still be taken care of. And that means more than I can ever express. 💕
